I got my Medical Forms yesterday 16-Jun-2015 !!!!!!

My file was received last 17-Nov-2015

I'm soooo happy I did not actually expect it to come this soon but thank God it did!!!!!!

Apologies for the lack of response on this forum but I have been away for 5 days so playing catch up.

We received good news on 08/06/15 as we had our medical requests and they have been booked in for 26/06/15 so please wish me and my family luck for this stage of our application.

It's good to get back into the forum and hear the good news carry on.

QUESTION:

regarding Proof of Fund while travelling to CANADA

Minimum fund to show CIC for a single person is around 12000$ but my question is how much minimum money should i bring along with me so that immigration officer don't raise any issue.

I don't want my money to bring CANADA right now, i can show bank statement as POF.
is there any minimum limit?

and if immigration officer can raise issue then what options i have? as if i am going to make bank draft to bring that money to Canada and again bring that money to Pakistan then i can have loss while conversion of currency.

Dear snowmint;

Carry atleast the amount which is required as POF. U are allowed to carry USD.5000 per person in cash from Pakistan. for rest, u can make draft or travellers cheque. I dont know exactly whether they accept bank statement as POF. Exchange loss is not the big deal and yet it could convert in profit as these days CAD is roaming around 82 and 83.

Just want to disclose the good news that I finally got my medical,police certificate request from Saudi Arabia and Ireland,right for permanent residence fee,updated chart,schedule A form request today.

Per received on 13th nov.14
Medical on 17th June.15
My queries
1)I already made my police certificates from Ireland and ksa in November.they are now 7 months old.can I send them or I have to make new.
2)regarding right of permanent residence fee,I hv my family members including my wife and my son.I have to pay for 3 persons or for 2?as I read somewhere that kids don't hv this fee
kindly throw some light on this matter as ur help will be highly appreciated.

Hi Taha;

Many Congrats. Ray of hope for July applicants.
1. usually police certificates are valid for 1 year and have expiry date on it, if those are valid then forward them otherwise make new one.
2. U have to pay Permanent Residence fee for yourself and spouse only which totals CAD.980/-, the same is also mentioned in your email from VO.

I should submit "MEDICAL NOTE STATING EXPECTED DATE OF DELIVERY."

What does this means? Should i submit report from a gynaecologist or sholud i submit my ultrasound report.

Even I have mentioned Toronto in my application however, I am doing some research on which city to settle and quite in favour of Edmonton and Vancouver. I plan to settle permanently therefore, considering various options. Are you planning to move permanently and which profession you plan to pursue your career.

Kindly keep updated when you receive your PPR as this would give me some relief

yes i will definitely be posting about my PPR as soon as i get it
I am actually doing my PhD. from UK and hopefully will be done with it by the end of 2016. Will move to Canada permanently in the start of 2017. i will start searching jobs in Canada once i get PPR. i will either opt for a financial planner (as i have 3 years of experience in this area) or a university lecturer or research associate as after my PhD. i will be eligible for these roles as well.
