Any one here, who submitted passport(s) to CHC Islamabad (through any VAC from Pakistan) in May and has got them back??? please share....

Hi Raway,

1. Initials of visa officer is appended in the mail sent from visa office. If you have not received any communication from the Visa Office yet, you would not know the name of the VOfficer which is absolutely fine. Many of us are waiting for a communication from VO.

2. Yes, you should inform VO about the change of your job. The is absolutely necessary. Raise a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) to LVO, inform them about the change and seek guidance, you will receive a reply in couple of working days detailing how to go about. CSE link is as under:

3. Being an LVO victim, this is absolutely normal. Average PER to MR time for LVO is 6 months. Moreover, LVO doesn't send AOR. So no worries. Once you will send a CSE for change in job, the reply would probably bear the initials of the visa officer, please do share with us - thanks.

Dear Friends I am new here. I applied for Canadian immigration under FSWP in Dec 2014. I recieved my PER in March, 2015.After that the visa office is silent. Plus I can't even check my online status since it doenst direct me to anywhere.What do I do?

Hi Feesha,

PER-MR average time for LVO is 6 months so dont worry. Try different date formats while checking e-CAS, most people append incorrect date format and get nothing out of it.

I strongly doubt that your parents will be given tourist visa knowing the fact that you are about to land as PR unless your parents have another close relative to visit or a concrete justification. Canadian govt has provided a solution for the parents of PR holders / citizens, which i am sure you would already know, known as Super Visa for Parents / Grand Parents of Canadian PR/Citizens. Details can be found on the following link

Since detail of your average income in Canada is one of the prerequisites, it implies that supervisa can only be applied after you land and settle in Canada. However, please surf through the details yourself, you may find such a provision, I haven't dug it out yet.

thanks,,, yes I'm aware of the parent super visa, but I can only apply for my parents once I land and have a job above the threshold income. I was looking for anyone who found a solution. As yo usaid I don't want to risk of getting my parents rejected and then when I apply for super visa it might have a negative impact.

Can someone please tell me if we are allowed to open the envelope given by the consulate when i was given the passports with the visa stamped?
