Need Advice plz
first congrats to all who got their visas and hope the others will get it soon

As u can see my application is from May 2010 and and was subject a lot of delays from poor response of LVO and then strike then transfer to Paris VO then Back to London Office, and every year at time of schools being father of 3 kids in higher grades i hope to get the ppr before school starts since international schools in Jeddah -KSA cost a fortune and nonrefundable,and i find my self obliged to pay not to make my children lose their year,however this year I am totally over whelmed since LVO replied to me 3 months ago that my file is being reviewed by an officer and will hear from them shortly.also they have extended all our medicals till May 2015 and no short landing will be necessary.

I am pretty sure that they will send the PPR soon since I did not see anyone who did 3 times medicals or extended his medical twice so it is definitly before May 2015 and since they said no need for short landing means that they will give me enough time to land before extention of medicals expire.

I know Canada will accept my kids any time we land that is why I am afraid to pay the school fees for this year( the first installment is almost 20000 CAD non refundable) and then get the ppr after . - Immigrant Kids are accepted in educational system round the year , do not worry about this

plz consider the fact that I need to travel even mid winter due to other issues ,work Contract,Residency validity and so on .
Furthermore 2 days ago I sent an email to the Minister of immigration explaining that my application is from 2010 in a Noc that is still in priority list ie Registered Nurse/Nursing Supervisor and funds available ,medicals extended and background check over awaiting final review for your kind attention. - Drop email to your VO , and write all details , and request them for consideration , so that you can avoid un-necessary heavy expenses on school fees etc , I am sure they will respond positively, Minister cannot do any thing

Your feedbacks dear forum members is much appreciated and I will post this in other threads too since every opinion is giving us hope to wait.

Have collected COPR and passports yesterday. 2 x CORP certificates, one with a photo on it and one without ...
No Visa in the passport, as we are from Visa exempt country.

Do we need to carry both CORP copies on landing? - YES

Please make sure that you keep copy , without photo safe as along as you are living , this is required on many occasions ie leasing home , car etc.

Your photo is scanned in system , and thus to test an immigrant , this page without photo is handed over to an individual!!!! - Strange Logic

My cousin lost this , and have to pay CAD$ 450/- to get copy of this from CIC

I got an email requesting two things

1. copies of passport to our office in LONDON as scanned emailed attachments and uodated information chart Appendix A ( appendix A is Photo Specification)

2. Upon completion of the above please submit the original passports and two recent photographs for yourself and each accompanying family member to our office in ISLAMABAD with a copy of the attached letter. The documents must not be submitted to our London office


What is this PPR 1 & 2 or 1 only???

MISH my passports dispatched from CHC today.... and most probably I will receive it on Monday from VAC...

Just to update you as you also sent through VAC.... so you need to collect it through VAC instead of TCS delivery

Congrats MM2..........by the way, do we need to send our passports via VAC (Visa Application Center)... do we need to submit passports in-person to Canadian Consulate office Karachi..

Just popped back to update you with a little good news... the PR cards seem to be taking less time to arrive than they have done historically. We have received our cards here in Canada after just over 6 weeks.

Dear Forum Members,
I have received PPR1 from LVO and i have the following doubts

1) Can i take a printout of the form(APPENDIX-A) and fill the same by Hand..
2) Do i need to attach the passport copies of self and family members to that Appendix-A form itself as a single package.

How important is it to attend a pre-departure seminar, being arranged by IOM COA......as in my PPR1, I was advised by LVO to get registered for pre-dep seminar at Karachi.......

thanks Farhan..... you can send it through TCS or VAC..... your visas will be stamp from Islamabad.... so you can not submit in person...

VAC is secure way...
