Guys, got a requirement from LVO(DRD).......

PCC Request from FBI and UAE.....for my sons - non accompanying dependants, studying in USA.

FBI shows 13-14 weeks........

application will drag for 6months......

can i get an exemption from PCC FBI or can I submit Good Conduct certificate from local police station???

By the way when did you get this request? You got this message today from DRD?

Sorry to tell you that CIC will not agree to that. PCC is a mandatory thing until and unless you could not get it. For example if you were supposed to get PCC from Syria, then they might exempt you if you provide reasonable grounds. But for them time and delay is not an issue they will tell you that PCC is a must.

I got this request through Premiers.
I am wondering as to why this request after a month of medicals and rprf??
Why was this request of FBI pcc for my son's who are not going to accompany us,
not done along with our pcc request. We could have saved 6mths.

Yes this is strange attitude. They were supposed to request PCC of your son when they have requested your PCC. This is totally weird attitude and a lame excuse to delay the case. Specially, when your son is not accompanying you.

Is there anyone hearing any news from DRD. Because now there is complete silence from DRD specially in last one week.

Asked for last 10 years only which are Bahrain and UAE. Plus Pakistan due to my nationality.

Has anyone heard from DRD since first week of March?He/she last wrote me to minimise my correspondence that he will get to me in due time and this is the 2nd week now and almost 2 months after medicals and I haven't had my passport requested.
How long more will I have to wait?should I contact him/her again?
