I raised CSE 4 days back and received reply this time background checks are on going. what does that mean. Does that mean security checks or employment verification. Although I have submitted my tax returns, salary statement etc with application and in August received request of company tax returns which I sent in August, since then nothing and now they said background checks going on and this is lengthy process we can not give any time frame. please share your experience over this. VO RFI.

Such delays are quite common and somewhat normal in RFI processing method. I'd suggest to apply for GCMS notes to get to know about the status is your Eligibility, Criminality and Security checks.
