Hello. I'm pretty much on the same boat as you. Been stuck on SS for ages.
I ordered CSIS notes mid-August. The reply from CSIS came within a few days saying the SS is still ongoing and they cannot release any information until the SS is finished. So I would not recommend wasting your money on CSIS notes at the time being.
I used getgcms.com
Hi...

I have been asked to pay my RPRF fees. Can anyone help me understand the significance of this.

I have been in SS for almost 18 months.

Appreciate if anyone can help me interpret and understand what's happening on my application.

Thanks

Usman

Hi All,

My AOR is November 2017, my Medical expired on October 2018 and I’m under SS since July 2018.

I requested for an extention to my Medical on November 2018 and yesterday the status of my medical was changed to Passed again .

Does the extention of Medical means that the SS is complete or they are not related?
Please how did you request for medical extension. Thanks in anticipation.

It's a good sign, looks like your SS cleared, according to cic website RPRF requested when your application approved.

The latter part is not true...rprf request can be sent at any stage of application, although the application of person in question must be near completion since its been long due.

Doesn’t mean anything. You can simply refer to my case below in signature. I was requested rprf even though nothing was initiated. Moreover, I have yet to attend an interview. Like me, there are many others whose applications are hardly anywhere near completition yet they were requested for rprf. When I got rprf request, I was also super excited(because of what i read on the forums) and thought I was going to get ppr any minute now. But I realized that many things that people are spreading in regards with rprf are nothing but myths. Also it could be that in the past it meant something but now it hardly means anything.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Yes I also realized, after paying RPRF from last two months didn't hear anything from LVO.

No worries! Hope you get PPR soon. Perhaps it doesn’t mean much but one person got ppr after 3 months post rprf request not so long ago.

I have now been asked to submit,

1. Medicals for me and my family (as they had expired)
2. Updated information chart
3. Passport copies for me and my family

Is this significant in the context of finalization and obtaining PPR?

Is there any way to assess how long will it take now?

Thanks

Dear there is no way to assess how much Tim will it take, however your application looks in final stage. Hopefully you will get PPR soon.
