London TRV processing time

how long will it take? Applied on 7th august...travelling next week

website says 14 days, is that WORKING DAYS?

Hi! I applied for TRV in person at London office on 14th September 2012. They said it takes 20 working days but it has now been over 40 working days and I have not yet heard from them. The last time I visited the Embassy to enquire, they said the application is in the "secure room" and may take another 3 weeks maximum! Any one know what the secure room is? How long will they keep it in there? Does any one have a similar experience with the London office. Appreciate your comments/ advice.
