Hello guys,
My aunt is British citizen and she would like to come visit here in Calgary. I would like to know if there is anything required for her visit.
Thanks

If she is an UK citizen she is visa-exempt and entitled to visit Canada without a visa. She may be asked at immigration in the arrival airport where she will be staying, how long she will be staying, how she intends to maintain herself when in Canada and when she will be returning home to the UK. Although I have never been asked to produce a return air ticket, the immigration officer could ask about that also..

Thanks wowsers,

so she doesn't need to go through medical? What about invitation letter, does she need one?

A visitor does not need a medical. An invitation would help to show how she would maintain herself when in Canada, but is not essential.

In general visa-exempt travelers don't need ANY special documents or preparation. Simply show up at the airport in Canada, and it's usually a rubber-stamp 6 month visitor status given. I'm assuming she has never had any previous incidents with Canada immigration, and has no criminal record.

It's always good to be able to show a return airplane ticket dated for less than 6 months later (which she should have anyways), and she should also have your address where she will be staying. No invitation letter is needed.
