London Pilot Project

im a Sept 2016 applicant and i ordered my notes in Dec. They just came in yesterday and there is a line stating "File held for London pilot project". This line is a part of the text on the last page of my notes and is in continuation with the comments that sponsor approval has been granted and all..

Anyone here who has any idea what London pilot project is? :/

p.s my Visa office is London.

This has been noted by someone else as well. The only people that would rally know what the pilot project is would be the Canadian government employees and they ain't talking!

Nothing you can do about it and almost certainly nothing to worry about, just CIC trying something out probably to speed up or streamline processing.....

Chalo jeee Amy since we both applied the same day i think i would have the same..File held doesnt sound goood.
A few days earlier someone else (from outside PK) posted the same in the GCMS thread.

May God help us.. it wud b a relief if this pilot stuff is for increasing the speed :/

File held doesnt sound goood.

the term "file held" doesn't mean it's a bad thing. files are held all the time for fast track processing. no one knows what this project is yet, so there's no reason to assume it's a bad thing.

I am in the same boat as you. My visa office is London and got my GCMS couple of days ago, after most of the agents comments it states 'File is being held for back office pilot project' I was worried as well but decided to let go and see what happens. Hopefully its for good.

But apart from that if u don't mind sharing. How is your processing coming on? have you passed medical, eligibility, criminality and has security started?

Medical pass..everything else not started! Last they seemed to hav touched my file on 6 Dec and it states Put Away. :/

i doubt that this is applicable for applicants before sept 2016
