London Office 2007 applicants waiting for PPR ,share your timelines

CHC Reply

I had sent an inquiry asking when should i be expecting my PPR. This is the reply i got

" Please be advised that your application is awaiting a background review by an immigration officer. We will write to you when we are in a position to do so. We hope this information is of assistance to you.
The High Commission "

Anybody got similar reply? I don't know what is happening with my application now and how long will it take to finalize my application. What do you think guys?

What was the previous reply which you received from CHC ,if it mentioned before that your BG checks were in process,then it means that your BG checks are now finished and you can expect your visa anytime from now.

Whereas if previously you were receiving the same reply ,there is a chance that your BG checks are still in process.I am receiving more or less the same reply since January and still waiting for PPR.In my case I can conclude that my BG checks are not concluded as yet.Moreover as I was subjected to a med fuetherance test which was submitted in Dec 2010 so there is a chance that my case could be delayed.

Hi People thx for the prompt response. Actually this is the first time i have ever got a reply from CIC. I had sent an email back in March but there was no response at all. So should i assume that my B'grd Checks are finished? In my case i was requested for Immigration summary and supplementary Information form to be filled and submitted along with my medicals and RPRF. As i have visited 5 different countries other than my home country maybe this is the reason for my delay. In the last 10 years i have been living in India and Uk only and provided Clean PC for these countries which also reflects in my CAIPS notes but the other 5 countries were just visit visa's for holidays not more than 2 weeks. Not sure if they will check with these countries too to make sure if i have a clean immigration history which i have. Lets see what happens. Fingers Crossed.

Hey Newcomer - Thanks for updating the list

I requested for at least 30 days more to submit the passport now, and they responsded confirming 30 days time starting from 18th on. Now in the process of sending the passports in time, since currently my spouse will be traveling this week on an unavoidable trip. God willing we should be able to send it in time since our medicals will expire according to CHC on 7th September. I was under the impression that it was 12 September. Anyway if all goes well, I hope to make a landing by 1st of September.

Hi Mustafa,

You dont need to wait for stamping of UAE visa,my KSA visa was stamped in my previous/expired PP,and my new PP does not contain my KSA visa.CIC does not need to verify your current status in UAE,the processing on your case has finished ,they just need your current valid PP for stamping of visa.

AOR- October 2007, haven't heard nothing since then, nearly nearly 44 months of processing time elapsed,
is there any one in the same situation as me or i alone in the boat ?

Hi Bobby1,

You are not the only one ,many 2007 applicants with an AOR of Oct 2007 onwards have got their cases held by CIC temporarily ,and many people have received official letters from CIC regarding this issue.
