Location of interview?

Hello!

My husband's PR application is being processed in Amman, Jordan. I called the CIC hotline a couple of months ago asking that if we should be called for an interview, we would be able to do it at the embassy in Beirut, Lebanon (it's difficult for us to get to Jordan at this time). She told me it would absolutely be possible, and that the interview wouldn't have to be done at the Amman VO.

I've heard that the CIC hotline is not always hugely reliable, so I want to ask you guys.. has anyone ever done an interview at a different VO? Is this possible? If we are in Canada, would it be possible to do an interview there?

I've ordered several sets of notes, but still no mention of whether an interview will be required or not..

Well, I've never been in this situation myself but recently I read on the forum that a guy from India was called for interview. He was in Canada on a work permit at that time and his VO which is New Delhi had his passport with them. He informed them about his situation n that he can't travel out of the country without a passport. Also his work permit was expiring. So instead of letting him do the interview in Canada, they postponed his interview n sent back his PP so that he can travel to India for the interview. So what I figured out from this is that you can't have a different VO for interview. Hope that helps

No it's not possible.
Interview must be at a visa office based on your citizenship, or where the app is actually being processed.
