Hello guys,

I need your help badly. So after the Ban has been lifted I started sending emails again and luckily a prospective employer responded.
He said he can get me within 2 to 3 months and to forward my Passport copy to his Immigration Lawyer.
The question is, Am I willing to go up to 1000 CAD for LMO fee?, he said.

I am willing but still afraid that this might be a scam and that they might run after I gave the money.

What do you advise for me to do to make sure that they are Legit and not a scam?
Also, I have a sister in Edmonton, Can I tell them that my sister can go down there in Calgary to transact with them?

Kindly advise please.... Thank you in advance for the responses.

Hey guys. Posting again to bump this thread up :)

LMO OR LMIA fee of $1,000 cad will be paid by the employer when they submit their application for LMIA abd NOT by the employee. If they are asking for money then it is a SCAM.

Thanks for the quick response mylady833. What information/docs do they need from me if they are to apply for an LMO/LMIA?
Are they able to get LMO/LMIA prior to hiring a foreign worker?

Thanks

looks like a scam...they can afford to hire lawyer and yet the initial expenses to start hiring foreign worker is passing the ball on you...maybe tell them that you will pay the LMIA when you start working with their company...

Be careful of giving identity information like passport info copy; there are always warning on identity theft that may put you in trouble. explore and research on the true sources as the Citizenship and Immigration Canada there might be information that will give you right guidance.

All an employer needs for the application is your full name, date of birth and country of residence/citizenship.
