My wife and I are with a PGWP working with employers that support our immigration, our permits expire at the end of July and we are now looking into applying for an LMO.
We got married here in Toronto at the end of January. Even though both of our employers support our immigration I am not happy with my work environment so I would like to know if my wife could apply for an LMO and I can get an open work permit based on her LMO.
I would obviously keep working on my current job until I find something better but I would not like to be tied to them for 1 or 2 years until we can apply for PR.
My wife´s work is a totally different story that is why she could apply for the LMO.
Please explain me if this is possible and if there are any risks on doing this.
