The company i work for is extremely large and as a result HR has a definite way of doing things. A 12 month temp Category B role recently became available and they advertised it for a total of 13 days-both internally and externally. They need to get someone into the role ASAP as the permanent employee who usually fills the position is on long tem disability leave and the temp filling in at the moment is starting a new permanent job in 2 weeks.

It was advertised externally on 4 different sites: the company website, Workopolis, simplyhired.ca and indeed.ca .These are the sites they always use when hiring but they didn’t advertise it on the government job board.

If they submit an LMO on my behalf would the fact that it was advertised for 13 days (1 day short of the 14 days mentioned on the government info site) and on numerous sites but not on the job board have a negative impact?

They would have to advertise it with the job bank for 14 days. Service Canada asks for proof of job bank advertisement when the employer files for the LMO.
