I am working as a full time with a canadian employer since june 2020 under my post grad work permit. I will create express entry profile in july 2021. On my offer letter, they have not mentioned till what date they will end my employment. It is NOT contract based. It is full time, non seasonal under noc b. I want 50 points of job offer letter . But IRCC not gona give it without a positive LMIA. I have two questions
1) At the beginning of july 2021, do I need a new offer letter from this employer??,, mentioning by them that they want to keep me there or offering me extention if i get PR in near future"
2) do i need LMIA ? My one year with them gona complete in july 2021, however it is not going to be end of my employment with them. I read on CIC website that if u already been working for one year with canadian employer and the same employer offer you job offer for next one year too , then LMIA is not required under CEC.
Any insight or suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you.
 
Are you on PGWP right now?

If it is expiring on June 2021, you will need a closed work permit (employer specific work permit) for you to continue working for them.

If they cannot provide this, you cannot submit any work permit application with a job offer only. You require the sponsorship by your employer. Even with a permanent full time position.

If you fall under the new policy of expired PGWP, you can apply for it before your status ends and you will be on implied status.

Otherwise, you need help from your employer

My visa gona expire in july 2022. Yes, am on pgwp. In june 2021 i will be able to create express entry profile, because only at that time, i will be completing one year full time work experience here. In my offer letter which i got in july 2021, employer did not mentioned the duration of my employment. But am sure tbat even after june 2021, i will definitely be keep working with them . My only concern is getting LMIA. I dont think so they gona apply for LMIA for me. It is a non profit organisation, noc b job. I was aiming to get 50 points of a job offer with a LMIA. Just feeling worried, because without these 50 points, my potential crs score is coming around 445.

Yes it does not matter if there is no end date on your job offer or if they want to keep you.

The only way for you to continue working after your PGWP is

1. Having an LMIA (I was in same situation)

2. Check the new policy for former or expiring pgwp holders that allow them to apply for an open work permit for 18months. IRCC released that on 27th January 2021. See if you are eligible.

1) No - you don't need this.
2) Yes - LMIA is mandatory if you want to claim the 50 points for having a job offer since you are on an open work permit.
