LMIA to Open work permit

Hello all,

My friend is on an LMIA with a company. She applied for PR through Federal skilled worker and she got invited to apply. It has been nearly 5 months and she hasn't heard back until now. Any reason why it is taking so long?

Please help.

Every case is different, so nobody can tell how long IRCC will take to make a decision on her application (she's been already waiting for 5 months, and she might have another 5 months to wait, no-one knows for sure).
I don't know her current employment situation or why she wants to change job, but if I was her, I would exercise some patience and wait until she gets her PR, and then change job.
