LMIA Question

Hi Everyone,

I have a Canadian company who is willing to hire me but they need to get the LMIA to hire me. The pitfall is, they have to prove that they couldn't find anyone in Canada who can fill this job, how can they prove it?
We got in touch with a friend's reference on Linkedin.

Any help is appreciated.

They will have to go through the LIMA process to hire you. That will require them to advertise the job on three different sites for an extended period to prove there are no suitable applicants. They will also need to submit the necessary fees. IRCC will make the final decision in whether the LIMA is approved or not.

What Buletruck said is right but you got a different point I guess.
Obviously, there are people in Canada who may have similar skill as you have but your employer can create a difficult job description with many skills tied all together to reduce the number of applications they are going to receive and your application will match all the requirements and then they can prove why did they select you. They may conduct an online interview with you as well.
