LMIA Question

HI all

I came in toronto as an International student and working on open work permit since 2012. I have 2 yr exp. in total of which 1 yr in NOC B. Any idea whether LMIA is needed for inlt. students to gain additional points and is advertising necessary for employer ? Also where can I get list of documents needed for LMIA?

Yes if you want the 600 points, LMIA is needed. Your employer will need to re-advertise the job you are working on, have everything documented in CIC specifications, fill out the forms and submit.

If you are applying for CEC, You don't need LMIA to get into the system though, but that means at best you can have 600/1200 points.
