Hi guys,

I understand that LMIA job offer doesn't require any funds.

I'm planning to set my available funds to zero to ensure I get qualified as CEC.

Will there be a chance that I still get invite under FSW? Is there any other way to increase the CEC invitation?

The reason for saying this is because I got refused in my previous application when I was qualified under FSW. And I was actually qualified for both FSW and CEC..

Please I appreciate your feedback..!

Thank you!

You meet the following requirement mentioned here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

You do not have to show that you have settlement funds if:
- you have a valid offer of arranged employment in Canada AND
- you are currently working or authorized to work in Canada.

So you can set the Available Funds to 0. In my opinion, this will ensure that you will be invited under CEC.

The program hierarchy system was supposed to be updated so that if someone was eligible under FSW as well as CEC, they would be invited under CEC.

http://www.cicnews.com/2016/03/ircc-addresses-hierarchy-issue-express-entry-candidates-eligible-multiple-programs-037348.html

This was expected to go live by end of Feb. You may wanna scan through the March draw threads to check if someone has posted about being invited under CEC when they were eligible for FSW as well.

If this is already live, then you don't need to change anything.

I feel like my application was rejected unfairly.

When I got invited to apply back in July 2015, I had open work permit with little over 1 year work experience. My primary job was therefore at this first company.

Then soon after, I got a LMIA job offer from another company, so I switched my job started working here.

Later on, I finally submitted my PR application in with the new updated primary occupation, and the government said I didn't have continuous 1 year work experience in my current occupation, which is the requirement for FSW..

I don't know how to explain better, but it looked like the government didn't even consider my previous primary occupation work experience because my invitation was based on that first company with more than 1 year work experience. If only had I not changed my primary occupation in my PR application, could I have received my PR approval..

I am very sorry to hear that , hopefully this time you will be through ...
but even in cec they want minimum of 1 year experience, i read some news last month that all the inland would be invited under cec first if they qualify in both
Best wishes

Just curious, did you enter the LIMIA # at somepoint in the work history or job offer section ? also set 0$ in the funds you bring into canada section that should take care of it.
