Dear experts on the forum,
Could you please help me ASAP?
I have a job offer with a positive LMIA and am a British citizen.
Looking at the various online forums and websites, it's very confusing as to whether I now need to apply for a work permit from the UK, or can land at a port of entry with bag and baggage and can be issued one on arrival.
I have a valid medical from my application for PR through express entry.
If I don't need to apply for a work permit, would my spouse get a stamp of open work permit on entry, and my dependent 5- year old get a study permit stamped when we arrive at the port of entry?
Please reply ASAP, and thanks for your reply.

Hi

You can apply at the POE. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/port.asp

Assuming your job is NOA A, B or 0, your wife can also apply for an OWP at the POE.

Minor children attending kindergarten don't require study permits, so he will probably be issued with visitor status. Once in Canada, with parents who are work permit holders, the child will not require a study permit to attend school. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-minors.asp
