Hello everyone,
I'm 30, and I have just got a job offer as a live in Nanny. During my job search, I have sent numerous applications to families and got interviewed but at the end of the day, the responses are "You are a fantastic candidate but we need someone already in Canada" That almost got me discouraged before this offer came. I asked the couple why did they choose me and they told me they are impressed with my degree in guidance and counseling as well as my experience and other certificates in Early Childhood education.
Now unto the next step, LMIA. I was informed last week that the LMIA application was rejected but they are going to re-apply. Considering the fact that this is a low wage occupation, do I stand any chance of receiving a positive LMIA? Is there any alternative if eventually it comes out negative? What can I do to at least boost my chance of a positive LMIA.
Many thanks as I anticipate your helpful responses.
