hi All.
I have a total score of 468 points without LMIA and have been working in canada for over 5 years. Last week my organization applied for LMIA and it got approved (it is approved now however i still have to get the work permit extended by a year starting next March based on this approval) . i understand that adding this approval detail it to my profile would result in increase of score allowing me to be selected in the next draw. I however had a question.
"What if in worse case say despite having LMIA for a year, the work that i will be doing next year is no longer required (worse case scenario) and i have to go back to India before my PR arrives. Will this mean that I will no longer be eligible for PR as i don;t have the job anymore" and will be rejected. How does these kind of scenarios work? i'd appreciate if experts can advise on this.
Thanks in advance.
