Folks, I am 41 and in the USA with family. Because of the long wait for the GC here, I am considering moving to Canada. A Canadian IT company with offices in Canada and all across the world is offering me a senior position in Toronto Canada. I do not get enough points in the express entry without a valid job offer and Canadian 1-year experience. To be able to secure the PR quickly, my questions are -

1) What will be the fastest way to secure the PR given the age factor? Is Global Skills Strategy advisable? or some other work visa will be better?

3) As I need to get the 1-year experience to be able to get enough points, is it a good idea for the company to do the LMIA now? or shall I move on with Global Skills Strategy now and ask the company to perform it after 1 year for PR?

Please advise. A bit confused here

No quick answer to your question. The older you are, the more difficult it becomes to qualify for PR due to points lost. Also hard to comment since you haven't said how many points you have now and how far away you are from the 440+ required for EE. Provincial Nominee Programs may be an option but take much longer than EE direct.

If the company gets an LMIA now then you can claim the 50 points now. So getting an LMIA now would be the best option if that gets you to 440+ points.

Thank you for your response. Currently, I am getting 359 points in the EE. With LMIA I will reach around 410, so it looks like I need Canadian experience + education as well to get additional points to be able to qualify after some time (not now). I am thinking of enrolling in some 1 or 2-year course as well to get additional points for Canada education. I am trying to decide if it all will work out or no. Also, if entering on the Global Skills Strategy visa will be the right path for me as I directly do not qualify for EE.
