Live Scan California State Police Clearance?

Hello everyone,

does anyone here from California who already received their state Police clearance? How long did it take before you received the result?

i used Livescan fingerprinting and was wondering how long this should take since this procedure should be faster.

i had livescan on april 10.

I got it in 4 days after Livescan.

Do they send it directly to your mailing address or should I call the livescan fingerprinting agency?

American Livescan is the private fingerprinting agency that I went to...

From what i understood, i do not have to send or mail anything since this is digital fingerprinting which is automatically submitted to DOJ.

you don't need to contact California state or livescan agency...

if you have submitted livescan on 10th april, you will get it in this week probably. just be patience.

Another state, take month or so...

I made an automated telephone system inquiry regarding the status of my Livescan fingerprint. My ATI# and birthdate was not recognized. I phoned the private fingerprinting center that did my livescan and the technician said that result should come out in 3 to 5 business days. but mine was done on April 10 and it's more than 7 days now. So i phoned the DOJ # and i was only prompted to leave a voice mail and they will call me back in 2 days!

Does anyone here experience the same thing? I'm in Los Angeles California.

Hello,

If DOJ find any issue with your livescan, they probably send a letter with reason what is missing and what is required in pre-printed letter. But this letter should also come in a week time.

may be if you can try to call them again until you talk to any representative.

For ATI # entries in the automated system, do not use speaker phone and enter slowly and correctly, if accepted system will reapeat your entries but in numbers, press 1 and it should tell you. It happened to me when I was using speaker phone.

Secondly, if nothing work then call them - which you did, you need to wait for 2 days, and someone for sure return your call or call directly and get the operator by pressing 0 and ask the person that you want to speak to someone who can look in the system not a machine.

Sometime they already sent you and it is mis-delivered to someone else. It happened to me and I had to call them and I left a message like you and also talk to a person who ordered me another one. After two days someone called from DOJ.

Hi guys

Need help for Police clearance.
Where do i need to get my fingerscan? I called santamonica police and they said i have to bring livescan request form.
I check with fingerprint shop and he said that i have to bring the request from the concerned department.
Really confuse and need your help.
Please reply ASAP.
I live in West LA, if anyone knows a place where i can go and get my fingerprints to send to FBI?

Search for Livescan on Google, look in your zip code, then go to any Livescan agent not necessarily Police -could be any agent. Pay the amount, they will give you the form and that's it, wait for the result to come in the mail. Make sure to check the box on the form that it is for immigration purpose.
