i've read from the forum that you don't usually need a study permit if it is not more than 6 mos? please correct me if i am wrong.

my friend is taking psw course and she said she didn't apply for study permit.

Visa Office Vegreville rec'd : May 07, 2012
OWP received via mail : July 30, 2012
Date signed: July 24, 2012
Validity : July 24, 2016

OWP Remarks Pending LIC APR....anyone has other remarks? Im kinda wondering what this means anyone?

For the 2012 applicants, I just want to ask which form did you use for applying your open work permit? Is it the Applying to Change Conditions,Extending my Stay or remain in Canada as a Worker a.k.a IMM5710? Hoping for your answers..thanks in adv!

wow, thanks for the reply! sorry I have lots of questions to ask, in that form question no. 3 it says:
I am applying for one or more of the following:
which box should I check if I am applying for an open permit?

a work permit w/ the same employer?
wrk permit w. a new employer or ?
initial temporary resident permit or extnsion of temp resident permit?

Saan ka ba located (sorry im assuming filipino ka din) meron kc group in vancouver to help you fill up form properly. Check their website West coast domestic workers association

hi just wanna have some feedback.

I have received a letter from CIC that goes like this...

This letter refers to your application for PR under Live -in Caregiver class.
This is to advise you that your application has been transferred to CIC in Etobicoke for further assessment. The CIC may contact you for an interview or to seek additional information or clarification. Once processing is complete that office will notify you by mail of their decision..
Passport of yourself and your family members must be valid for the duration of your stay in Canada.

Mores o, I have received a letter last week informing me that my OWP was received april 30, 2012 and that the processing will be longer than anticipated. They will review the application within 16weeks of the date of correspondence which was July 18.my WP will expire on Nov 2012
Does anyone here have the same situation?Any thoughts about this?
