I am care giver working here in Toronto, but i have a problem I Didn't have yet,My Permanent residence and I"m going home to Philippines for my wedding?is there any problem of my case? i have an open work permit already! and one thing how to apply a re_entry visa.thanks

@ maria gracia- i think it there would be no problem! just have your re-entry visa and that would be ok!

just a follow-up question..... if you already have your OWP but you have been released by your employer, can you go on a vacation to your home country and go back to canada even if you don't have a new job yet?

march 1, 2010 - started processing
september 5, 2010 - received owp

how long do i have to wait? my health card,sin,owp gonna expired on june 2011.

do i have to renew my owp or just wait till i got my schedule for interview.

me too...nov 2009 i sent my PR/owp application
jan 2010 started processing
july 2010 got my open permit
june 2011 owp expiry as my passport expires..i already renewed my passport

OWP usually 2 years. But my friend just received her OWP and they based on the expiry of her passport which is only two months left. Got her OWP Feb. 22, 2011 and passport expiry April 30, 2011. So she just got two months OWP.

yes my passport gonna expire on june 2011.

so when i renew my sin and health card they also based on my passport expiry date.

You probably have to call CIC and ask what you need to do. The OWP given you was co-terminus with the expiration of your passport, but it should have been longer than the 9 months given you. Your SIN and health card was based on the OWP which of course was based on the passport expiration date.

Hi Boards,

FYI: Renewal of passport in Vancouver is now for appointment only. You have to contact them to set an appointment. No walk-ins. Renewal also takes 2 months to process. So, you have to make an appointment ASAP for you to have your passport before June.

I am applying for PR. one of the question there is to list all the addresses i have lived for the past 10 years.

What will i do if i cant remember the exact address (no. and street) of some places where i lived. i have no more communication with the people i have been on those places. hope someone can help me... :'(
