Help required in proof funds checklist in Canada University May 2019 intake admission

Hi All, I am from north India and I got the official acceptance letter for my spouse from the Canadian University which is valid for three intakes (winter, Spring/Summer, fall) 2019 or full year. Now I am going to apply for study permit for May 2019(Spring/Summer) intake. According to IMM5957E doc I am able to know that following are the documents required for study permit of a person going for University studies;

MUST have
  1. Study Permit Questionnaire
  2. Original, valid passport
  3. Two photographs meeting the photograph specifications
  4. Letter of Acceptance
STRONGLY recommended
  1. IELTS score card
  2. Photocopy of the most recent diploma or leaving certificate, and most recent mark sheets
  3. Copy of medical examination form IMM 1017
  4. PREFERRED OPTION for proof of funds
  5. Copy of receipts for payment provided by the University
I am confused in two things, firstly, I am not able to pay the first semester fee for the classes starting in May 2019 because the registration for May classes should be open in first week of March 2019. Is it compulsory to show paid first semester fee while applying for study permit?

Secondly, I am confused in documents required as proof of funds. I can show following documents as a proof of funds, please validate;
  1. Bank statements for me and my wife's accounts (we both are salaried employee)
  2. A fixed deposit in the name of my wife which we have recently created (in November 2018)
  3. Post office fixed deposit certificates which are on my parents name and me as a nominee.
  4. Will open a GIC account on my spouse name before applying for study permit.
I have also transferred some amount of money to my spouse's account to show funds on her name. Please also suggest what is the right time for me to apply for a study permit for May 2019 intake and what amount of money I can show for her as a proof of funds stated above? One more question, can I show Post office fixed deposit certificates which are on my parents name and me as a nominee as a proof of funds?

Note: I am applying for my spouse's study permit.
