By the way, what is LC?

Also, is it necessary to submit PAN Card/ Driving License?

I wanted to ask, I need show proof of funds for me and my spouse i.e. around 14000 CAD. I have arranged for an FD of Rs. 8 lacs. Can I just submit a notarized photocopy of the FD Receipt or do I need to submit something else as well? Is it necessary to submit bank statement of the last 3 / 6 months?

Did you complete your application via computer? If yes then there must have been a barcode generated..Correct. That barcode paper/s needs to be put right on top of all the forms and documents//check the application guide and it says that

LC is the School Leaving Certificate. Here in india this is a good proof for the date of birth.

and about PAN Card/ Driving License. I do not know if it is mandatory or not but point 16 of document checklist IMM 5612 is "Identity and Civil Status Documents" and in india these are considered good Identity documents hence i am including those.

You said that the barcode page will be a part of the the Geeric application form [imm0008]

According to the guideline it says the following:
Place the barcode page(s) on the top of your application (forms and supporting documents) when you submit it.

So that means it will be Document checklist -> Barcode pages (i think its 2 pages and might include where you sign) -> Generic application form [IMM 0008] so on and so forth

I hope u get the point


Also I have a question. People say that I need to have SSLC (secondary school leaving certificate), but I dont think I have that, however I have a secondary school passing certificate issued by CBSE whoch has my name, dads name and my DOB will that be fine to confirm my date of birth. Do I need to include any affidavit and covering letter

yes you have to send transcripts too. Everything mentioned on the Document Checklist page point number 13

It is mentioned in point 13. all mark sheets. I believe transcript/mark sheets refers to the same thing.

Transcript are different and Marksheets are different. But If we are including ECA report then I think transcript are not required but I will say check with some one who applied with out transcript and got PR.

My friend please read the Document checklist again. Form IMM 5612, point number 13

It says

Proof of your completed Canadian or foreign educational credentials can include copies of your:
1> secondary or post secondary education documents (certificates, diplomas or degrees)
2>transcripts for successfully completed secondary or post secondary studies, IF AVAILABLE

Yes, It mentioned if available.

I we are enclosing original ECA reports and all degree and marksheets. then I think there is no need of transcripts.

We can give explanation like that only one transcript was issued from university, which we gave for WES no other copy is available

What you guys says.. Would we be safe in this case?
