i'm a sponsor who just linked my wife's app to my MyCIC account. if she ever ends up getting an additional doc request, will she still get an email from the visa office? or will we now have to log into MyCIC on a daily basis to check our messages?

But i think we dont have to check it regularly. when we sign in it says
Complete the following information so we can send you an email if there is an update to your application or message in your account.

I would like to receive monthly updates about my application

SO i think if we recieve a message from cic they will notify us on the id which we have provided in mycic
 
this is terrible. i'm already reading posts about people seeing inaccurate or outdated information on their MyCIC accounts... signing up for this was such a big mistake.

I think it will take a little bit of time for them to update everyone's information.

fine, but what about people getting doc requests? my wife's app is being processed at London VO which is one of the more incompetent visa offices out there. i've seen this particular visa office send doc requests and remed requests to the wrong applicants, and worse yet, sometimes they even forget to send requests and end up rejecting the applicant for not responding to an email they never got in the first place.

if they're dumb enough to screw up something as simple as email, how can we expect them to be able to use this new system correctly? and are CIC's software developers as dumb as their visa officers? does this system even work as it's supposed to? i'm not so sure because their FAQ says everything is updated in real time, but that doesn't explain all the outdated and inaccurate info people are seeing on their linked applications.

lastly, London VO rarely ever updates ECAS... so why would they bother updating MyCIC?
