Hi there,

I am wondering if anyone has the same or similar experience with our case.

I am applying for EE-CEC as common-law and my boy friend is currently in his 3rd year of finance major in Canadian university.

While ago, his school adviser told him that he is able to apply for 2 year diploma for BBA program that he had completed in the last school days. I am wondering if he gets to obtain this certificate, would his highest education level be 'Two year program at University, college, or etc'? Now his highest education in our EE profile is 'High-school graduate'

If we are able to obtain more points by doing this, we really would like to apply for it.

As per the above table and assuming you are the Primary Applicant, a two year program will get you 7 points as compared to 2 points for high school diploma, for accompanying spouse/common-law.

Thanks for your reply.

The problem is that my boy friends' obtained diploma is something like this;

The TRU Visual Arts Diploma program consists of two years of core and elective courses, all of which may be taken singly, if desired. The holder of a TRU Visual Arts Diploma can enter the third year of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) degree, or other university programs. Thus, it is strongly recommended that those students wishing to pursue the BFA degree at TRU or other post-secondary institution complete the Visual Arts Diploma to achieve third year standing before advancing to upper level classes in Visual Arts.

He is currently continuing his study to finish 4 years of bachelor program after completed two years of diploma in the same University.

Does his diploma still count as 'two year program at University' which can give us 7 points?
