The first letter seem fine, as a proof of employment and list of duties to justify your NOC.
Not sure why you need the second one though!

i'm in the self employed category as i am a business owner.

For self employed category i believe you need to take reference letter from clients

i've taken 3 client reference letters- i had more than 50 in the last 10 years. i imagine i don't need it from all of them? many of them were ad-hoc one time small projects through crowdsourcing sites like elance.com

FYI- this is one of my reference letters

To whomsoever it may concern

This is to acknowledge the services rendered by xxxxx, represented by its CEO,

xxxxwhom I hired for data collection, analysis and reporting for the

purpose of building a software solution to serve xxxxxxxx. My company, xxxxx Limited, provides services to xxxxx(UK) Limited and this particular work was for xxxxx.

In my capacity as a director of xxxx Limited I have also hired the company

for other miscellaneous projects such as contact list building.

I can attest that xxxx is a representative of xxxxxand I have either

through my company made payments to him for said projects on multiple occasions.

Maybe I am wrong but I see significant difference in the job description/services provided between the first letter and this client reference letter. This one says software - no mention in the first letter at all - am I missing something?

The client reference letters must also describe the services received which should align with the NOC

hi Karthik, the way i see it, the client cannot really describe what i did in the company. as a policy maker/decision maker, he would not know what i did internally in the organization. for instance, if i'm managing staff, allocating funds to various divisions- how would the client know? he would only know that i managed the team that was working for him.

for instance, i'm getting a CA's letter related to my role as a financial controller/CFO type activities- that plays into the 0015 code as a policy maker. he would similarly not know anything about how i manage the company and what role i play operationally right?

what do you think?

I think 3 references from clients are enough is what mentioned in the referred thread.

Good luck
