I wonder How can I go to my ex manager and ask for his business card whom I used to hate like nothing else. He was after me all the times to fire me as I was hired by the HR without his 100% consent, He wanted to hire his own relative in place of me. Can I write this to cic as an excuse of not providing the business card and reference letter ?

From your post I assume he is not going to write a letter for you since he hates you so much! If you have the letter written from a HR person, you can attach that person's business card. I'm really not sure how important the business card is. I just mentioned it because the Buffalo office guideline specifies it.

i agree with mpapdp.1984, the business card is not important if the contact details are found. Your letter should have the contact details of the HR person.

This is less important because you are not claiming points for it.

Hi Rupeshhari,
Yes i mean a business card. Yes the contact details of the company where i worked are all there. I had moved to another country and when i phoned to get the business card, i was told he is no longer at that position and that he has been replaced. So the person in his position can not write the letter because he is not the one who signed that letter of reference.

I am planning t o write a mail about my change of address , can i also add the letter with the explanation why i did not add the business card now?

Waiting f or suggestions.

Tell me if what I am saying is correct. The person who wrote your letter has left the company. If that is correct, and say CIC wants to phone him or someone to verify, will they get in touch with a person who can verify that you worked for the company and your duties?
If your answer is yes, then maybe no reason to write a letter to explain it now.

If there is no way that they can contact a person in the company (given the phone numbers) to verify, yes a letter would be useful.
Wait for others to answer too because I do not know the best course of action.

yes, thanks all. I'd still advice all to follow the cic requirements as much as possible.
I am not gonna use my Manager's card, I will rather use HR's somene's card who deals with our employee records.

Hi Rupeshhari,
Yes what you are saying is correct. He has changed positions and the person who replaced him knew that i had worked there from their records.

When i was doing my police certificate my friend went there and had to ask them to write a letter to show that i finished my contract and all was fine, before the could issue my police certificate. The new leader just told him he has heard about me, but never met me in the company. I guess all will be fine if they call for any verification.

Thanks very much for yoru quick answers.
