My employer emailed me a pdf copy of a letter of employment with his signature. Is a printed pdf copy good enough or do I need a signed original for my spousal sponsorship application?

That should be sufficient.

Your printed pdf copy should be okay. I can't see why not? :)

Yep should be fine, the only definite thing to be 100% original is the FBI report.

Make sure to make copies of everything you send in, for reference and 'just in case' they loose something...

Had mine done on original paper with company letter head, address and signature on it stating I reached out to them for employment. Both ways are just as good as mentioned by others :)

Mine was also sent to me as pdf on company's letter head. You will be okay.

Please enlighten us. My husband and I just noticed now that on his employment letter his boss used the term "Working on a Full-Time basis" rather than the number of hours. It this ok? or do we need to ask for another letter of employment

The letter is completely unofficial and means almost nothing.

You could write it yourself and simply tell your boss about it.

Most proof of employment letters have a signature from your employer (either manager or HR/payroll).

My employer mistakenly labelled me as full-time employee when I started working for the company (I started as part time). I did not bother asking him to change it at all. The most important thing about this matter is your sponsor having a real job and employment information that is needed for his approval as a sponsor.

I see this thread goes back to 2015. But I am in the same situation. I work in West coast but my employer is in East Coast so they sent me a scanned pdf of the employment letter with all the details mentioned in the Checklist(june 2017 one). Is it okay to send the printed copy of the pdf with pay stubs or do I need the original?

Thank you so much :)
