Hello,

I got a letter in the requested format from my current company but the older ones from previous employers mention only the time span of my employment and my position (mechanical engineer) on letterhead papers with CEO signature and corporate stamp.

Unfortunately it is very tough to get them to issue new ones imposing my format on them.

Do you think the ones i have are good enough?
 
Well, if it is that hard to get them to issue new ones, the only thing you can do is to explain the whole situation in your LOE and then it's up to the reviewer whether they will be OK or not.

Has anyone else a story to share?

also attach reference letter from your previous colleagues.
if you can attach their visiting card/company id then better, else email and phone are usually enuff to get thru.

attach these letters with whatever relevant documentation you already have.
