I applied for my WP extension and the letter received from IRCC had the text "... that you are authorized to continue working under the same conditions as your original work permit
until August 7, 2025 or until a decision is made on your application, whichever is first."
The phrase "whichever comes first" is unclear. Does it mean that if a decision is not made before the WP expiry date, I will have to leave by that date? My understanding was that I have the "Implied" status until a decision is made even if the decision comes AFTER the WP expiry date. What then would be the point of requesting an extension?
