Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, and I was wondering if anyone had run into a similar situation with a visa office. I applied in September 2011 to sponsor my wife here from Pakistan. She received a letter 2 weeks ago stating that her visa was ready and that they needed her passport. The letter also stated that she should make sure that her passport is valid for 12 months, but that the visa would only be valid until:

a) Her passport expired
b) 12 months after her last immigration medical.

Her passport expires March 2014. It will be difficult for her to renew it due to delays at the Pakistani passport office. Her immigration medical expires August 9th.

Does anyone have experience or advice about what to do in such a situation?

Gratefully,
WMHS
