Letter from employer

I don't really understand how a resettlement plan can take the place of an original letter from an employer. She won't be employed by them when we move to Canada so surely detailed plans are required anyway?

I've mailed the application now without the original letter. I have provided a cover letter as per the posters above explaining why we haven't included an original letter and that we can send one if it is absolutely mandatory. I have also detailed our plans for employment and housing once we move to Canada.
