Hi, i just got my renewed work permit valid until June 2015. I'm planning to apply for a temporary resident visa so I can visit my country this December and can return to Canada in January.
My question is about the letter from employer which is a requirement for the TRV application. Is this the same as the Offer of employment letter?

Thanks.

No. This is proof of current employment. Offer of employment means that you WERE offered a job and proof of employment means that you ARE doing the job. So this will be a letter from employer mentioning that this person is working on XYZ role since <<date>> etc etc.

Getting a TRV is fairly straight forward if you already have a work permit with you. Attach a copy of your work permit and your proof of employment.
