We got this letter last week January 19 confirming our PR status, yayyyy.

It talks about the following form IM5688, but the was no for uploaded to our link or even sent to our email. We need to know how do they send it to us, we have a deadline April 14th according to this letter. Does anyone know about this??

Your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CPR) documents (IMM5688) have been issued for you and for each person in your family who will be travelling to Canada. Each person must carry his/her own form along with his or her passport to Canada. No visas were issued as you and your family members included in your application are exempt from this requirement according to your country of nationality.

If a CPR for any person is not provided, please contact this office immediately.
DO NOT SIGN YOUR CPR UNTIL TOLD TO DO SO BY THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER AT THE PORT OF ENTRY IN CANADA.
(A port of entry is a border crossing or an international airport.)

Hi there. That isn't a form number, but rather a document number. IMM5688 is the Confirmation of Permanent Residence, which are the landing documents that were issued to you. You don't need to do anything except land. Congratulations :)

Or are you saying that you received this letter in the mail and your COPRs were NOT also included in the envelope?

thank you very much, but Im still a little confused. There is a section that says the follownng:
  1. DO NOT SIGN YOUR CPR UNTIL TOLD TO DO SO BY THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER AT THE PORT OF ENTRY IN CANADA. ( it this form there is no signature section)
  2. **IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
Please check the CPR(s) to make sure that there are no errors. Your documents were issued on the basis of the information you have provided. If there are errors you must notify this office immediately. If any name or date of birth differs from the name or date of birth in a passport, or if the passport number or validity is incorrect, please notify us immediately so that we can tell you which CPR(s) must be returned for correction.

(what information do we need to make sure its ok?)

They will stamp your COPR when you land and you sign it then.

You need to check and make sure your name, date of birth, passport #, address, etc listed on the COPR is correct

The letter clearly says confirmation of permanent resident. But no where in this letter does it say the Info to mention above. It only says name, UCI, valid until, forms

Your COPR should look like this:

If it doesn't look like this, or nothing like this was included in your letter, then you need to contact CIC and let them know.

It will be a hard copy that will be attached on your passport and mail back to you.

When they send you the PPR, they will ask you to also include a return envelop, and you can write your proper address on the return envelop for you to receive your passport and COPR.

It will be sent to the mailing address given by the applicant in the application.

OP is visa-exempt and as stated in their first post, the COPRs have already been issued, so there won't be a PPR request now.

If you carefully read subsequent posts from OP, you will see that OP didn't receive the CORP yet. And rest for sure, he will receive his CORP attached on his passport with whatever address he writes on the return envelop.

Again, OP and family are visa-exempt, so they don't send their passports. I clearly said that the COPRs have been issued, not that they have been recieved. This was stated in the communication from IRCC in OP's first post and means that the COPRs have been or shortly will be mailed out.

Thank you very much, we will wait for that Copr confirmation. We sent the prepaid envelope a few weeks back, so any day now we shall receive this document hopefully. We already bought our tickets
