Hi,
Thanks for starting this thread. I'm about applying online as well, the problem is the option of the TRV application form i'm being asked to upload says :Application for Temporary Resident Visa Made Outside of Canada (IMM5257) ???
Even though i answered in the questionnaire that i am currently residing in Canada. Did you experience same?
I'm really hoping to send off the application as soon as possible and would really appreciate your input on this, since you've gone through the process.

Yes, I got confused too, yes u only need to fill out this form and upload other document like passport workpermit n than submit

Same here! They also got my passport on Nov 6! But tracking is still inactivated... Would you kindly let me know if they send ur pp out, or u have received it. Thanks

ny consulate received my passport on Nov.1, 10am.

Till now, heard nothing from them, already emailed them several times..

must leave on Nov.21, FREAKED OUT...

The visa service of Canada really...Sucks!

i hvnt get my passport yet, one of my friend get his passport back in 20 days

Same situation here, I submitted my passport to Ottawa on Nov. 5, and they received it on Nov 6. Still didn't get my PP until now, the worst is that my flight is on the morning of Nov. 21, so I have to get my PP on Nov.20, I called the CIC, they said they sent the VISA office a message to ask them to do it quickly, I sent the VISA office an email, but no reply.

they received my passport on November 6 and today my returning envelop has been activated ......cant wait to see my passport
