Length of undertaking in Quebec

Hi, I am sponsoring my common-law partner and her daugther (I am not the father). We want to live in Quebec.

If I am right, Québec chooses the duration of the undertaking. According to the sponsor guide* I am responsible for the sponsored person for 3 or 10 years. Who is the sponsored person? Only my partner, or her daughter too?

In short, how long am I responsible for them?

3 years for your spouse. 10 years for her daughter.

So how does that work after 3 years?

Bad scenario: we break-up, she goes to live with her daugther. She asks me for support. I'm only required to pay for the expenses for her daugther?

Worst scenario: she asks for social assistance for some reason. I only have to repay the part of the money that is for her daughter?
