Hello everyone.
Please i wanted to know, when you travel with your refugee travel document(RTD) ,do they give you length of stay because i am planning to take a trip for 4 months or more. I would appreciate your feedback , thank you and God bless.

If for the country you are visiting, refer to their short-stay rules. e.g: you have Schengen visa for 2 years, you are only allowed to stay in the schengen area 90 days every 180 days.

If for Canada, leaving for 4 months as a refugee will rise red flags when you come back, and I would advise to seek legal consultation before leaving.

Remember you are not a citizen yet and every day counts toward your citizenship. and even that you are a refugee here, your PR status can be ceased for multiple reasons.

I agree with kaisa
Last year i travelled for 28 days and i gota detailed inspection for three hours... And yes your PR application is nothing without the landing paper itself.
I called the immigration a month a go telling about my situation.and my plans for travelling outside Canada . The agent adviced me not to leave the country before getting PR

Of course, you can but you should expect a detailed inspection from CBSA when you come back but it's okay if you have enough evidence why you are staying that long abroad.

on of my friend did it for 6 months but he has a legit reason (court sessions about his son)
