Hi, I got married in 2006, separated in 2011, then started living with my girlfriend to whom I am sponsoring now. I got divorced from ex-wife in july 2014. In the colum length of relationship with ex-wife should i write from 2006 to 2011 or 2006 to 2014, because formally i got divorced in july 2014..

The only thing i can say is that i put down my divorce date that was on my divorce certificate.I didn't have any problems with CIC over sponsorship.

Thanks taffy...In 2013 I started living with my girlfriend, to whom I am sponsoring now. In September, 2014 my gf gave birth to a baby. In oct, 2014 I remarried to my gf. WE want to tell these activities to CIC so that the baby can also be immigrated. this is my situation. so please suggest now.

I had a quite similar situation. My now husband and I started seeing each while he was separated from his ex. As it worked out his divorce was finalized and we got married the very next day...so we used the date that he and his ex separated rather than the date of the divorce for our application and had no problems.

I don't think it matters which date you chose. You have to send the divorce certificate in with your application anyway.Just explain in your letter of how the relationship started etc and you will be just fine. Was your baby girl born in Canada. If so she will not need to be on the application, only the additional information form.

Your relationship ended in 2011, and your marriage ended in 2014. As taffy said, so long as you explain the situation, it makes sense.
