Legal change of name, act of birth

Hello all,

I applied for a legal change of name in Montreal.
I was asked to perform an insertion of my act of birth.
I cannot do that because I can't get any document from my country of origin.
I was asked to hire a lawyer and ask the Superior Court of Quebec to draw a certificate of birth for me.

Does anyone know how much this would cost?
Can anyone recommend a lawyer for this?

This shouldn't cost much, considering the fact that it is not a very serious or complicated problem. But it may take some time. I think an immigration lawyer will be able to give you more details on this. There are many immigration lawyers in Canada, one with which I have personal experience is the Yousefi Law Group. They have helped me with some issues related to obtaining visa for my wife who is from England.
