I am aware that generally you are not entitled to employment insurance for the time you leave the country. However, I have read that this does not apply on the weekend, as you must be available to work from Monday to Friday.
Is this the case? May someone from Toronto on EI go spend the weekend in Buffalo without penalty?
Also, if this is the case, could someone leave Friday night, and arrive Monday morning to still be in the weekend slot (are there any specific hours?) or is the weekend strictly considered Saturday and Sunday?
