I am applying for TRV on tuesday and i am going to be completely honest with the visa officer. I am going to inform them that i have an inland application in process and i need a TRV to get back into Canada to get together with my wife and pursue my application. I will explain them i had to come back to UK in an emergency and my ME has expired. I will also tell them in case my inland application is denied i will leave canada and do an outland application. i hope they understand and issue me a visa.

Thanks for the help guys

Alright people, i have been granted a single entry visa valid for 6 months. To re-enter Canada and pursue my inland spousal application.

Thanks

Well done.....see honesty is the best policy with CIC.

I have seen this so many times, where people get themselves into a pickle and lie, thinking it is their only way back to Canada. Only to find out that CIC seem to be able to read lies 5000 miles away......

This is proof, that if you are genuine, have genuine reasons for your situation, that CIC will look and take a human response.

OK, I also know that some IO's are just.....errrrrrr.....(bad word).....and not everyone gets a fair hearing but I do honestly belive that honesty is always the best policy. Even for your own peace of mind.

crazylove: the PR is issued for inland applicant when they call you for an interview. They're gonna ask you to bring IDs etc and then you're granted PR/landed. There is no passport request like the outland app where others mail them. Its different for inland. So you have to be in Canada.

You have to have a valid passport to receive PR card even for inland sponsorship , i was asked to get mine renewed before i came to the 'interview' where they just checked my ids and passport

If person is a refuge or didnt have passport to begin with then they can apply for travel document

Congratulations, Crazylove!

thanks everyone...

yes indeed honesty is the best policy. They actually showed sympathy towards me and said i made a mistake doing an inland application because it takes too long and second i am not able to work. They said my wife should have send the file to mississuaga and given my UK address (basically outland) and i would have been PR by now. And with my ME visa i could have visited her when ever i wanted. But anyway, my application should be getting done by november hopefully.

Hi Guys thanks for your help,

I have a question, i am trying to book my flight to Toronto and i am confused whether to buy a single way ticket or return. If i go in return would it be a problem?

I have already travelled to Toronto once on a single way and i didnt had any problem but that all depends on IO.

thanks

Can anyone please shed some light.

I am thinking of purchasing single way ticket..?

what do you guys think?

thanks

Sometimes a return ticket doesn't cost any more than a one-way, or is only a bit more expensive. If such is the case, I would get a return ticket just to be safe - the border official may not ask for it, but just in case they do you are prepared. If it costs a lot more, though, I would just go with a one-way.

yes its costing more to book the return, so i am thinking of going with the one-way. In case the IO asks me i will explain them situation but still i am scared that they might deny entry.
