my parent also left Canada , before vistor record approval came. So now they have asked for medical exam . My mom is in USA , we did medical there . Would it be allowed if she visits canada next year on her valid TRV . Her TRV is valid till 2026. And vistor record she got approved for 12 dec 2021.
ALthough she already left canada in september. She just stayed 10 days over 6 month, due to covid situation . I am just worried about the medical reports .
As she is diabetic and Has Hypertension .Please advice

I am sorry I don’t know. TRV means visitor visa?

Yes TRV is temporarily visitor visa that is visitor visa

I think they can revisit. I don’t see a problem. But again it depends on the border officer.

@stalker thanks for this post. I am in the same situation. Parents need to extend for 1 month only while the current processing time for visitor record is 200+days. Reading your comments above, it seems like it is safe for my parents to leave Canada while the visitor record is in process.
Question:
After they left, did you contact IRCC to inform them or anything ?
Have you parents travelled back to Canada after they left back in 2020 ? And if so, did they face any issue at the airport?

Yeah I did inform IRCC about that that my parents left the country. No they haven’t been back in Canada after that.

Was it just like "their Visitor Record is in process but they left" ? And did they receive the visitor record or it just gets cancelled ?

@stalker Did you parents have to do the Medical ? For the question "How long are you planning to stay in Canada?", if I select more than 6 months, Medical is required. I dont know if more than 6 months apply to their whole stay, or just for Visitor Record.

I extended it for less than 6 months

@stalker thank you for forum. You see my parent extended for 3months and they applied for extension of stay. However, they went home last January 2024 while still in process. Now, after long wait the IRCC asking for medical but they already went back to their home country. Can they just ignore the medical request since they are not in canada anymore. Would there be problem in the future if they come back for a visit again?
Lastly How do I contact IRCC? Please send me the info please. It would be very helpful.thank you all
