Leave Canada and Re-enter Canada on Work Permit

I am an International student from India and I am about to complete my graduation in May-2014. My study permit expires in August-2014. I will be visiting India after my exams in May and come back in July-2014. I will apply online for my Post-Graduate Work Permit from India. I want to know whether I will be allowed to re-enter Canada if my work permit is approved before July-2014 and I have its original copy with me.

And if my work permit is not approved, its in pending status, will I be still eligible to renter canada as my study permit is expiring in August-2014.

You can enter Canada as long as both of the following hold,

1. You have a valid multiple entry visa.
2. You have a valid work/study permit.
