Leave Canada after submitting PR renewal

Is it risky to leave Canada after I submit PR card renewal? I meet the residency requirements so I should get new card without issue. I want to put the address of my relatives in Canada so they get my PR card when gov mails it out.

Any possibility that gov requires me to get the new PR card ***in-person***? That what I worry. thank you!

Hard to say, but make sure be prepared to keep your way returning through a land poe in case your card expires and you don't receive the new card.
