Still waiting for an ITA.
Gd luck to you and all of us,i will start slowly and see my chances along the road, the thing is if it will take me a year or more to learn just to score an average score that wont mean a beneficial change in my crs scores since i will be loosing points already for my age factor but anyways will start slowly and see what my chances are.

I have been studing french from past 3-4 months, at Alliance Fracaise Toronto.

So far, I have completed A1 and learning A2 for 2 months now.

Before, my plans were to give TEF after 6 months of studying French, but now I'm looking at 1 year and 3-4 months. My teacher gave TEF for immigration and she recommeded at least complete B2 level.

FYI, I study 2 evening classes each week and I also study via Rosseta Stone at home. From my personal experience, you would need 1 year of full dedicarion, before you can score good in TEF. Choice is yours!

Good score in my opinion would be NCLC Level 5 or 6. Higher than that would need more than a year of dedication and regular oral french (Speaking) practice.

NCLC levels are for French and CLB levels are for English. You can check out here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp

I would encourage you to at least try a month or two learning. Some people have amazing learning skills, and can learn a lot faster than others.
